1. Sennen

Consistent, yet fairly average beachbreak just around the corner from Lands End. Waves get bigger as you head north up the beach but the south end is more sheltered and almost offshore on a SW.

2. Nanjizel

Relatively un-surfed spot due to difficult access (private road, angry farmer) and fickle banks. Picks up a lot of swell and is sheltered / cross-offshore on a northerly wind. Other hazzards include horny seals!

3. Gwenver

Probably the most exposed beach in Cornwall. Located right at the west of the country and out of the shadow of Land's End Gwenver picks up any swell going. As a result it is often maxxed out and the banks are very fickle. Heavy waves and plenty of locals

4. Porthmeor

Often worth a look when there's a medium north coast swell and a SW west wind. Produces a fast, hollow wave at low tide that is often a bit closey

5. The Breakwater

The Breakwater is one of those spots that gets good enough once every year or 2 that you'll always check it! When it's on it's a long walling left. Works on a huge north coast swell and any wind from S to W

6. Carbis Bay

Beach break that takes a huge north coast swell to work. Reasonably sheltered from westerly winds

7. Hawks Point

Very fickle spot that gets good enough once in a while to keep the myth alive. Long walling lefts and rights at low and a punchy peak towards the cliffs at higher tides

8. Hayle Towans

Long stretch of beach down to the rivermouth. Various spots including The Site which can produce long walling waves and lots of paddling!

9. Godrevy

Fairly consistent beach break that can produce long steep walls and hold a good sized wave.

10. Portreath
