Channel Islands « England
1. Suckers
2. Big Peak
Despite being called Big Peak it is in fact a right! However, the first part is right - it starts breaking at around 6ft and keeps going from there up. Long paddle out and extreme, heavy, slabbing bowl action for those brave/mad enough to take it on. Picks up any west swell but is easily blown out.
3. Perelle Right
Shallow righthander off Dom Hue Islet. Steep drop leading into a fairly long, sometimes hollow section. Long paddle out
4. Perelle Left
Quality reef-break with a steep ledgey drop followed by a workable wall. Less full on than the right
5. Centres
Outside reef located in the middle of Vazon Bay and reforms over the sand inside. Both inside and outside can be fast and hollow. Needs a big swell, but not too big else it maxes out
6. Portinfer
One of the busiest spots on the island picking up more swell than Vazon. Works through the tide although is best at mid when there is a decent right
7. The Knife
Situated at the northern end of Portinfer this high tide reef can throw a decent little barrel. Exposed spot that gets easily maxed out
8. L'Ancresse Bay
Sweeping crescent shape beach that usually takes a winter swell to get going but is OK when onshore
9. Fort Le Marchant
Lefthand point that needs a really big swell to wrap around. Steep take-off, hollow section and rocks in the line up make this a fairly dodgy option
10. Petit Port
One of the island's better known big wave spots. Can handle practically any swell and produces a fast bowly right or a fatter longer left. The bigger it gets the lower the tide needs to be
