2. Los Cabanos
Beachbreak on the west coast which is probably worth a look if the south facing beaches are flat.
3. Mizata
Decent quality righthand pointbreak that is super consistent working on any swell. Best at lower tides, but the adjacent beach is surfable at most states
4. El Zonte
Another righthand point! Possible plan B for if Sunzal and Punta Roca are busy.
5. Sunzal
Ultra consistent righthand point break offering long rides and a few hollow sections. Best known spot in the region so tends to get busy
6. The Pier
Fairly good beachbreak off the pier - mostly lefts too. Downsides are popular with groms, fish and diesel smells from the pier and nearby sewage pipe from the town
7. La Paz
Less full on inside section of Punta Roca. A better option for less experienced surfers or those who can't be bothered with a long walk!
8. Punta Roca
Long, powerful right pontbreak that has been compared to J-Bay when it's on. Hollow sections break over shallow black boulder bottom. Quality of wave and proximity to town mean it can get busy
