2. New Pier
Durban's premier wave, and for good reason. With a solid swell the pier can produce a spitting barrels that are regularly ridden for over 6 seconds. On the downside the place is a zoo and the pecking order is pretty rigid
3. North Beach
Excellent quality wave with long barrels and rippable walls the norm. The only downside is the horrendous crowd whenever there is as much of a sniff of a wave

Once the jewel of the east coast 'the Bay' is a shadow of its former self since the construction of the piers. Still gets pretty good though, just not legendary - still gets busy too
